My daughter loves Thomas the Tank Engine. But apparently if you're a girl, he doesn't love you back...
At least, that's what the makers of this greeting card seem to think. Because there is the Thomas card filed under "Boy Birthday".
Just what makes Thomas the Tank Engine "For Boy"? The inside of the card has a simple birthday message — nothing about a penis, testosterone, or facial hair. Unnecessary early gender stereotyping. I'm sure eventually my toddler will go ga-ga over fairy princesses and pink unicorns — thank you, greeting card company, for hastening that day.
