"Stolen" music?

| | TrackBacks (0)

"We’ve had DRM in Windows for years. The most common format of music on an iPod is 'stolen'." says Steve Ballmer. OK, I don't even HAVE an iPod. I have a ZVue, which only plays mp3 and Ogg. But I got most of my music from EMusic, which distributes recordings in mp3 format, from my own CDs (which, last I checked, I believe I paid way too much for), or from iTunes itself. I did download some music from Napster in its heyday, but you know what? I still find free music online thanks to places like Epitonic and Better Propaganda, and I can also buy mp3-format albums from Calabash and AudioLunchbox. So Steve Ballmer can go stick his DRM up his parallel port.
