Blast from the Past

Time capsule reveals saga of early S.F. Jewry (from the Jewish Bulletin). The time capsule was found in the cornerstone of what was once Congregation Ohabai Shalome. Maybe some of my relatives went there; apparently most of the congregation was from the Alsace-Lorraine area.Funny side note: in the 19th century, Rabbis often went by the title "Rev." No wonder this community is so assimilated!
