So what better than some Recipes of the Damned? Mmmm...spam and fruit cocktail party loaf...

Just saw the most wonderful movie. Great animation, really clever, and it had one of my favorite actors, Mike Myers, doing a great Scottish accent. (Again, as Ilah points out.) And after all, if it's not Scottish, it's shite (or craaaap, depending on who you ask.) Go check out the web page...

This was a project that I worked on three years ago with three other people when I was in graduate school. There's a quiz to test your knowledge of Oakland history.Very weird to see something you worked on so intensely such a long time later (well, in Internet time anyway).

This is so sad! Go read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy if you haven't already. Some of his later books weren't quite at the same level, but that one is a classic (as are its two sequels in the trilogy).Also, check out this website that he founded , where fans are virtually gathering to post their tributes. (The most moving one? "See you at the restaurant.")
